My journey in wrestling began in 2010 as a 7th grader in Springdale, Arkansas. In 2011, I was part of the first-ever youth wrestling program in Springdale, laying the foundation for my competitive career. I continued through high school at Har-Ber High School, earning multiple state placements: 6th in Folkstyle (2014), 3rd in Freestyle (2013), 2nd in Freestyle (2014), and 2nd in Greco-Roman (2014).
Beyond state-level success, I proudly represented Arkansas as a Freestyle Fargo National Team Member in 2013 and 2014 and as a Greco-Roman Fargo National Team Member in 2014. I was also a member of the 7A Conference Championship Team in 2014 and contributed to Har-Ber’s 7A State Championship Team in 2012.

I transitioned from wrestling to Jiu-Jitsu in 2016, and after nearly eight years of training, I earned my brown belt in January 2024 from grappling legend Rafael “Formiga” Barbosa. Throughout my journey, I have become a multiple-time IBJJF champion and medalist. My game is always evolving, but my core focus remains on technique and efficiency—using control to secure victory. I strive to teach my students these same principles, helping them build a well-rounded game that will serve them for years to come.

My philosophy is that Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone—anyone can learn, grow, and improve in the right environment with the right people around them. Training should be both challenging and fun, creating a space where students can develop their skills while enjoying the journey. My focus is on building well-rounded practitioners who can be effective in all positions, not just one area of the game.

I started coaching youth wrestling in 2013, youth Jiu-Jitsu alongside my brother Dylan in 2018, and adults in 2019. My approach to coaching is centered on breaking down techniques in a way that makes them accessible and effective for each individual. I strive to help students build a game that suits their strengths, allowing them to develop a style they can be proud of and continue refining over time. My goal is to ensure that everyone in the room develops competition-level skills—whether they choose to compete or not.
I love to train, compete, and challenge myself to keep improving. But even more than that, I’m passionate about sharing Jiu-Jitsu with others—encouraging people to step outside their comfort zones, learn something new, and become part of this incredible community. Jiu-Jitsu is more than just a sport; it’s a lifestyle that strengthens both the body and mind, providing a fun and healthy way to grow and connect with others.
