My journey in combat sports began with wrestling, where I competed at Har-Ber High School in Arkansas under Coach Nika West. During my time there, I earned titles such as 7A Conference Runner-Up (2011), Freestyle State Champion (2011), 7A Conference Champion (2012), and 7A Folkstyle State Runner-Up (2012). I was also a 7A Team State Championship Team Member and a Freestyle State Runner-Up (2012), representing Arkansas as a two-time Freestyle Fargo National Team Member (2011 & 2012). My collegiate wrestling career took me to Labette Community College, where I was part of the 2013 NJCAA National Championship team, before continuing at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. I became a two-time NJCAA National Championship Team Member (2013 & 2014), competing at 125 & 141 lbs.

Transitioning to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I earned my Brown Belt under Rafael “Formiga” Barbosa and have since become a multiple-time IBJJF Champion and medalist. I’ve developed a game that prioritizes technical superiority, focusing on precision, control, efficiency, and effectiveness in both competition and teaching. Whether I’m competing or coaching, my goal is to refine technique to the highest level, ensuring that every movement is calculated, efficient, and effective under pressure. By emphasizing both effectiveness and efficiency, I help students maximize their energy, execute techniques with purpose, and develop a grappling style that is both dominant and sustainable over time

As a coach, my philosophy centers on building confidence through competence. I believe that anyone can develop a well-rounded grappling game, excelling in stand-up, top, and bottom positions, even without an extensive wrestling background. My teaching focuses on practical, battle-tested techniques that create a strong foundation in takedowns, positional control, and escapes, giving students the ability to dictate the fight wherever it goes. Whether training for self-defense, competition, or simply the love of the sport, my goal is to develop athletes who are skilled, adaptable, and effective in every position.

I’ve been coaching youth wrestling since 2012, youth BJJ since 2018, and adult BJJ and wrestling since 2019. Over the years, I’ve developed a teaching style that breaks down complex techniques into simple, effective movements, helping students build strong fundamentals while also learning how to apply them under pressure. My goal is to not only improve technical skills but also to instill a mindset that thrives in competition and life.

I’m extremely passionate about teaching and coaching grappling. I love to train, compete, and teach BJJ and Wrestling. I feel blessed to be able to enjoy these sports and even more grateful to give back to the communities that have shaped me, both on and off the mats.
